It sounds great. One of the best ss amp out there imo, if not THE best

Depending on my mood, i'll use the Me-50 in the loop or in front of the amp. Theses days, it's the DS-1 on the Me-50 in front trough the warm clean channel (pure sex). It rocks. Mucho-mucho tube-like gain.

Love the level switch (25, 50, 100 watts) and every feature on it :

- Three fully independent channels
- Bottom, body, and edge active EQ on ultra channel
- 3-band passive EQ on clean and lead channels
- Three-position EQ and gain voicing switches on each channel
- 100 watts RMS into 4, 8, or 16 ohms (selectable impedance)
- Power level switch for 25 watt, 50 watt, or 100 watt operation
- Power amp damping switch (tight, medium, loose)
- Footswitchable effects loop with effects level switch
- Preamp out / power amp in patching jacks
- Reverb
- Master volume
- Three button footswitch included
- Classic jeweled pilot lightChrome plated brass control knobs
- Built in the U.S.A.

Become one of us or die, fuckers. / Rick - RHLC V-P.

i had a XXL 2x12 for a while and loved it! i eventually went to a head/cab stack setup so it had to go. and i hated lugging it up and down my 3 flights of steps for practice twice a week. but that thing can sound massive with the right tweaking (a cheap eq pedal in the loop really brought the gain channels into there own). if i ever come across a cheap head version of it, i'll probably pick one up as a backup to my current rig of doom.

Bump! (a small one though... )
It took me a while to find this post back...

You really got me wondering about doing this.

- what eq pedal did you use? A Boss?
- how would you describe what it did to the gain channels?
- ever tried some kind of TS in front? (even though it's not tubes, might help too)?

Thanks!
