New (cheap) guitar day. 56k ---> do i really need to tell you something?

Nice looking guitar. I'd like to play around on one of those, probably wouldn't want to own one though (my Epiphone played and felt like a $350 guitar).

It does feel like a 350$ guitar.
But some 350$ guitars feel better than others and i feel this one (with a few easy improvements) could be a winner.

Like i said, it's the first time i own a LP and i think it's really growing on me. I had the (wrong) impression after trying a couple that LP's were not confortable. I begin to think i was wrong.

They still have them listed as in stock according to the website.

As for the guitar itself, it needs a fret job. Then again I have yet to see a guitar priced < $500 that didn't. Your comments make me wonder if they changed what tuners they're putting on these, as the tuners on the one I had (now Yevetz's) weren't bad at all. I mean they weren't fantastic, but they weren't horrible.

Actually, you're right, tuners are not that bad. It was a first impression.
I really didn't like them in the first place... They felt cheap.
But for now, they'll do the job just fine.
I'll probably bring it over a technician someday... We'll see.
There's nothing (to me) that urgent to do with the frets. Of course, it's gonna help but it's still very playable right now.

Update!

The jack is screwed up (no surprise) so it's now gone to a luthier for a full set-up, including a fret job.
Not that it needed it that much but it will sure feel a bit better after.

Mmm. A full set-up.

From what i know (i'm no expert) :

- check / clean the electronics
- fix the jack
- fret polishing
- fret levelling
- truss rod adjustment (if needed)
- adjust intonation
- change strings
- adjust pick-up height
- put my dunlop strap locks on

That's about it. Maybe i forget one thing or two.
It's gonna cost me 65$ can.

I still have to receive my white bobbin toppers

Yevetz note that the following have already been done to yours:

- fret polishing
- fret levelling
- truss rod adjustment (if needed)
- adjust intonation
- adjust pick-up height
