Pretty unprofessional if you ask me. Still, I really like the Schecter so far. Definately the single best sounding guitar I've ever owned.
You talk about unproffessional service - a three-working day delay is nothing. A professional set up at my work has a waiting time ranging from 3 days to 6 weeks. Often, guitar techs have to look after shop stock too - our waiting list jumped from 1 week to 5 last week because he was given 30 Epiphones, 8 mandolins and a pair of USA Custom BC Rich's to set up/repair/refinish and put on the shop floor. While they don't take precedent over customer guitars, they still need done sharpish. You really can't judge their service without knowing what the circumstances are. Also, if it isn't a warranty repair, it won't be high on their list of repair priorities.

Sorry.

Actually a three day turn around time is alot when you were promised that it would be done in a day. Also, if I had to wait 3 to 6 weeks for a set-up then I'd just take a course to learn how to do it myself. Making someone wait a month to fix their guitar is BS! I'd just go somewhere else.

Go somewhere, or go somewhere else?

It isn't bullshit if it is a respected technician with a service that is sought after. Our guitar tech is arguably the best in Edinburgh, and people come to him even with long wait times because he knows to set up a guitar and there is next to nothing he cannot do. I'd quite happily wait 3-6 weeks for him to set up my guitars again - the setup was that good. If your service is shite then I understand, but I don't think your seeing my point.

You've elucidated your point quite cleary my good sir. The point that I was endeavoring to make was that if you give someone a specific timefrrame in which to carry out an agreed upon service, then it behooves that person to stick to that timeframe. In regard to the gentleman you've just mentioned, I in no way wish to cast aspersions upon his credentials, but forcing people to wait a month or more for a set-up does seem a bit excessive to me.
