Just the look!
Of course you can have two black Hellraisers that sound different form each other, due to old strings, pickup height etc. But if you have two Hellraiser's, the Black and the Black Cherry one, with identical setups, I am 99% sure they would sound pretty identical. |

honestly the difference would be so subtle if anything at all, because it has emgs.

I think the black cherry would have some high end sparkle added to th warmth of the mahogany body due to the maple top. Other than that nothing would be different unless you swap the 707's to 81-7's

Isn't the maple top on the BC just a veneer? I doubt that would change the tone much rather thant a decently sized cap.

some people like the 707's some don't. I personally don't like them but I have heard alot of good things about the 81-7's. Also there's a 18 volt mod that will get you some headroom with them. I haven't tried it so I can't totally knock the 707 without tryng the 18 volt mod first. Ask Zimbloth, he can give you a more in depth answer about them than I can.

I personally love the 707, it works perfectly in the Hellraiser, but it is a matter of taste. |

Unless you're like Eric Johnson or something I doubt you could pickup it up.
