1. 7 strings
2. Comes stock with Seymour Duncans
3. 5-way switch (versitility)
4. 24 frets (Range, even though 23-24 can be hard to hit)
5. 26.5" scale for tuning stabiliy
6. Tune-o-matic bridge (no trem, which is good for some people)

That's all I can think of off the top of my head. There's a review over in the Gear Reviews section that you should check out.

Fender Standard Telecaster w/ Dimarzio ToneZone(bridge)
Schecter C-7 Blackjack w/ '59(neck) and JB(bridge)
Sigma Acoustic (CGCEGC)
Line6 Flextone III XL

My acoustic stuff

The Hellraiser seems to be exactly what I'm looking for. I don't want another project guitar, I want one that sounds great stock. Sadly, the nice one in Guitar Center was taken by some other lucky dude. Onward towards another.

Other suggestions are still great though

I tried a Hellraiser, and while it played alright, I hated the sound of the EMGs. You can get chug, but you can usually tell there's that "something" missing with them. If you like EMGs, go with the Hellraiser, though if you wanna try out Duncans, which I highly recommend you do, try out the Blackjack first. Another thing with the Hellraiser is that you won't have as many tonal options with just the 3 way switch.

I'm assuming he's going to want to mass produce these rack pies, and why not? I love racks, I love pies, so put them together and you have pie covered titties. - JJ

Don't thank me, thank the wombat rapist. - Jamie

I don't generally love EMG's, because they're so one-dimensional. However, in my other guitars, I have Duncans, DiMarzios, and Gibson PU's. I'm almost due for a pair of EMG's. I've only played the Hellraiser once, but when I played it through a Peavey 6505 combo, man, I was doing something right. (I was the red one). It was sweeet.

I have another question (SHOCKER).
Hopefully it will be my last, but probably not.

I've heard a lot of people here trashing Carvin stock PU's. If I went for the active option, would any of that be resolved?
