Are they working on compatability with existing bridges, or with creating their own? The later might be a nice option, but the former is I think the better way to go - at the very least, a OFR7 route and a Hipshot 2-point 7 trem route would be good ideas, I'd think.

i've been assembling parts to build my own 7-string Tele for a while. that Mann hardware builder in New Hampshire never bothered to e-mail me back, and he made the only production 7-string Tele bridge i've ever seen. i'd already done a lot of research on materials (there's a neat page on Tele bridges written by a company called Callahan), and i'm going to scratch-build my own bridge. 70s-style single-string saddles from All-Parts, and a thin cold-rolled sheet steel baseplate. if it comes out well, i'll find a motorcycle shop and have them chrome it. (i had to buy 12 of those All-Parts 70s Tele saddles. if anyone wants to buy one of the 5 singles i have left over, PM me sometime.) _actual time_ : prog/math/metal/???? on myspace |

They'll be using existing hardware. USACG doesn't make any hardware so they have to work around what is available.

That's a bummer unless they dug up supplier for tele bridges as no bridge means no interest from me, as I've already got the strat base covered.

Gotoh 7, Hipshot 7 flatmount, Hipshot 7 trem...so far
Working on T style bridge as well... What's the point of a T without the proper bridge right? The focus of this project is to remain as true to the original flavor and vibe as possible. |

I dont see a serious need for a tele bridge unless you want it for the look. Many high end tele copies such as andersons use a hardtail strat bridge instead.
