Jackson CS Stealth-7. Pics! Comments!!
Hey all, I'm sick as a dog after my long music-festival weekend, but my day brightened considerably when the friendly UPS driver showed up. Since you are a bunch of goddamned porn addicts, I'm here to deliver the goods. Meet the Jackson Custom Shop Stealth-7.
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Sorry for the sucktacular quality of the pics, but I'm too feverish to give a shit right now. Can't comment too much on it, since the guitar arrived with strings properly slackened for shipment, and I'm giving the neck some time to settle before I restring and tune it up. Basically, the guitar is far more gorgeous in person than these pics can show. The neck is unfinished and with a thin profile somewhere between a 7620 and a regular Jackson 7-string. The finish is a stunning tan stain over *solid* quilted maple. No veneers or caps in sight. Appears to be in very good condition. Headstock has a 1/4" solid maple cover stained to match. Again, no veneers. In the listing, the only bugaboo I saw was that it looked like the truss-rod cover holes had gotten fucked up. Turns out that the previous owner hates those covers as much as I do and removed it, but was conscientious enough to reinstall the screws. I probably have a couple of Jackson TR covers laying around my studio that I can install if necessary. Guitar comes with a Lo-Pro Edge, just as we surmised in the other thread. It's been blocked (which I approve of), but I'll probably unblock it once my KXK arrives. I will post comments about the sound and playability hopefully later tonight or tomorrow. And I'll probably post some better pics once I've gotten my mojo back.

Nah, it wouldn't be a direct retrofit, and I'd rather not start cutting up the body. I prefer OFRs, but the Lo-Pro is decent. If it had a TRS, you can bet that I already would have placed my order for the OFR.

No one has ever told me why they won't fit. Is the OFR-7 baseplate too big?

Yeah, the dimensions are much different, so the saddles won't intonate properly if you simply replace one with the other. I think that the stud spacing might be different, too, but I'm not 100% on that.
