So I decided on....

An Ibanez RG7321 got my hands on one at my local guitar center and liked it a lot. I was gonna get the RG1527 but it's a little pricey for me at the moment..all I really wanted from the 1527 was the trem on it anyway even though I know it's a higher end axe.

Anyway I put it on layaway and should have it early next month..thinking bout putting on the black and white picaso graphic that universal jems has...

Coconut!!

Sweet man,,the 7321 is awesome, especially the new ones with the new 5 pc necks. I have 2 1527's and they are just awesome, and soon I will somehow get a 7321 to add to the family. Have you considered what pickups you may put in,,or are liking the stock p/u's?

I'll probably go with a Blaze Custom in the bridge and an air norton 7 in the neck..either that or a Evo 7 in the bridge..the stuck pups were a little to muddy and the higher end sounded pretty bad..

I just bought a 7321 and put the 4 color Picasso graphics on it. And I'm waiting for Eric to send me the Blaze Custom and Air Norton 7 that I ordered.

My fellow guitarist in my band recently acquired a 7321. he put a white blaze custom in the bridge...one of the sexiest guitars i've seen (with the white binding).

Only one thing is weird about the 7321, it just doesn't set up like his 7421. I know the neck profiles are slightly different, but his 7421 blows the 321 out of the water. The strings feel like they have more 'give' (though he uses the same strings on both guitar). This is pretty consistent, considering we have changed the strings on it at least 4-5 times since he has owned it.

all in all it plays great (solid for leads now that it has that blaze custom), the fretwork is clean and there were no finish marks any where. However, it falls slightly short to its japanese predecessor in terms of playability and resonance.

Nice purchase. We may just have an awkward one.

I think the black and white picaso would look nice combined with a white bridge pick-up..I remember seeing petruccis black and white picaso guitar (which is a 7-string) and thought it looked damned nice..don't think it had a white pup though..

Edit: Just realized that the picaso graphic is black not white :p
Would be kind of redundant to put a black graphic on a black guitar

They've only made the RG7321 with a 5 piece neck. The 5 piece neck is a new feature on the '05 RG1527 & UV777PBK.

Cool, that you decided to go to 7321, emp. \m/

I got my RG7321! Just took some money out of savings and got it now..I couldn't wait another month anyway let me just say I love it! the stock pups are a little muddy but arent as bad as I thought..and it doesn't have the white binding the one on music123 has but i'll just have some work done to it..even though most of you have had experience with a 7321 before I assume..i'll post a review later

Congrats Bro! I felt the same way about the stock P/u's in my 1527's. When I ordered them I was trying to line up the funds to rid myself of the stock p/u's asap. However when I got the guitars I was pleasently surprised with the tone. The stocks aren't as "all around" sweet as Upgrades, but for what they were I liked them. Sort of takes the pressure off when you are low on money. Take some good pictures eh?
