I believe your problem was that you were playing guitars at GC. They're not exactly set up that well.

I think that Ibanez it's the 1st 7 string maker, they have a lot of models and a lot of history with them. BTW the guitars that they make are superior from a guitar that it's the price of the RG7321.

trippled has a spectacular aura about
Well maybe i didnt basded my opinion but i havent said nothing about you guys and to my opinion you shouldnt act like that... instead of saying about me that stuff you could of ask why do i think like that... so i bashed a guitar company.. i think that bashing a person because he didnt explained he's opinions is worse.. cause i didnt try to hurt anybody.
Anyway... i, myself own an s prestige 2170, im an ibanez owner and i love my s but ill explain why i said what ive said.
Ibanez moves all the s guitars to korea from japan.. if youl go to the ibanez forum youll find many people complainning about their broken zr bridge... believe me, im a lucky guy that my zr is ok(and that happend on prestige guitars like mine).
So all the s line is now korean, but not korean like shecters... they send alot of crooked guitars out of the factory, the quality inspection of those instruments is really low and you can get a bad one or a good one.
Thats for the s line up... now, i must say that maybe i was too harsh by saying they suck.. i would say they maybe suck for their price.
The rg prestige line feels really cheap near other guitars in its price range, for example you can take the scheter jeff loomis and the rg 1527... 1527 has some average ibanez puckups.. the loomis has emg's, i played on both guitars... the shecter just feels like an other class of guitar, i played on it and on the petrucci jp7 too, i wouldnt say that the schecter is too far from the music man.
I think that saying the rg series sucks is wrong, i admit it, over priced would be the right word.
It feels like all the steps ibanez did in the last 3 years are just for making more money... moving the s line to korea, making more and more low end models. leaving a few prestige models unchanged for 3 years(except for putting an 8 string and a yellow rg), the prices are getting higher and makes no sense(in 2004 you could get an s prestige for 800$, now they all cost 1300$), for the price of their top rg prestige line which is different by having a neck through and a nicer finish, you could get a music man john petrucci with a piezo system which is hand maded and is exactly the same like the music man petrucci plays live.. theres really no sense about it, sorry.
Maybe i were too harsh, i appologise if i annoyed anyone... but that is the feeling i have, ill try to be less harsh next time.

Your statements about the QC of the S's I have to refute - I sell these things day in, day out, and in however many years I have had ONE Ibanez S come back faulty - today. You talk about damaged ZR trem's - can you provide a link? What is going wrong with them? The ONLY time I have seen a damaged one was today, where the arm holder had sheared - but this is because the fool had been trying to do a Herman Li too often and snapped an arm not designed for that purpose.

Are you also telling me that you have personally tried several Japanese S's and then compared them to the equivalent Korean guitars after a setup? I doubt it. I personally have not noticed any dramatic changes in quality of guitars between the prestige ranges - which I assume you are talking about since you mention Japan to Korea.

As for offending us, don't worry about it, provided you don't make blanket statements or attack a member you will be fine. We are a fairly close-knit forum, you just need to get to know us.

I've heard the ZR trem breakage story a few times also over at jemsite. I wouldn't say Ibanez guitars in general has gone down in quality, but I would agree to the fact that QC are permitting a bit too many lemons lately.

At this rate Korea will soon be the next Japan as far as built quality goes anyway. Just look at some newer Ibby's and let's not forget, the schecters (diamond series in particular).
