Just ordered a rg1527!

They told me it would come in about a month. Is it usually this long to order a guitar?

Also, what comes with the guitar, I wanna know all of this so I don't get ripped off, it took me 6 months of working like a dog at Wendy's to get the money to buy it.

I know it comes with the :
-Team J.Craft Case
-Tremolo Bar, 2 "Ibanez Prestige" allen keys in a J.Craft see-through pouch
-Certificate of Authencity
-Ibanez strap?

If there is anything else that comes with it please tell me.

Also, before I pay this in full (already paid a hefty downpayment), I'm going to be checking the 1527 for about .5-1 hour for ANY imperfections whatsoever. If there is anything wrong with it, i.e, defective edge pro that doesn't stay in tune, minor scratches, dings, I have the option to not buy it?

Also, I heard about bending on the higher strings on the 1527, will this be an issue?

I'm thinking about getting DiMarzio Evolution 7s for this bad boy, trying to achieve that hot output sound. Question, is there a Fernandes Sustainer System for a 7 string?

Thanks in advance

When I ordered my 1527, it took about 2 weeks (but they told me a month). Mine came with pretty much everything you mentioned...but I don't think they come with a strap (at least mine didn't). I'll have to look in my case to see if there was anything else. Oh, there is a manual too.

I'm not sure what you mean about bending on the high strings...but I can do it without any issues.

It's a fantastic guitar and I'm sure you won't be disappointed! Congrats!

BTW, Welcome!

I heard the bending issue is on the high B and high E strings due to the tension of the tremolo because of 7 strings...

I'm not totally sure about this though, but I'll know it when I get it.

With you guys that do own a rg1527, is it possible to bend up a fourth on those strings? Also, how high can you bring the pitch to with the edge pro? It should be up to a fourth...

Anyways thanks for the welcome guys, I'll post pictures when it comes

How long did it take for your RG7321 to arrive?
I'm looking at that one as well, if not the Schecter Hellraiser with the EMG's and mahogany body, for easy changeable tunings and I'll keep the 1527 for lovely songs... a.k.a Steve Vai stuff.

If you in intend to use the trem much, you might want to consider the locking stud mod. More about that here: IBANEZ RULES!! tech - setup

I don't have any bending issues on mine. Actually, I find bending easier on it than on my fixed-bridge guitar, probably because the action is higher.

I intend to use the trem to its fullest potential

During the hour before I pay in full, I'm going to abuse the edge pro ALOT, to make sure it isnt a defective edge pro. All the harmonics, staying it keeps in tune, how high it can raise the pitch, flicks, etc

I'll check that mod out thanks.

You probably want to make sure the Edge Pro is set up correctly before coming to any conclusions about stability or defectiveness. I have never even heard about higher-end Ibanez trems being defective, but I do recall reading about some issues regarding harmonics and fine-tuner range on some of the early batches of the EP, which were made back in 2003 or so. Ibanez appears to have fixed those problems long time ago.

I'm guessing it'd be like 500 CAD ?
I got a Steve's Music here in Toronto too, its just that their kind of jerks...

My friend wanted to try out a JEM that he was looking at for a month and they said, serious inquiries only.
