Yeah.....I stained the body after burning it and it sort of subdued the burning. Another burning session is in order.

It looks way cooler. For the proper effect, you'll need to strip the headstock and do the neck as well. One of the best parts is the whole guitar having the same finish

Kitchen blowtorches, like the ones for doing arty kitchen rubbish, are the best ones to do it with

Due to family issues that have taken precedence over everything else, I left the body hanging to cure for a while. I finally got to assemble the guitar the other day initially to make sure fitment was good, but then continued on to wiring and setting the whole thing up. I'm still debating about the pickguard. As far as, the second round of burning, it's been put on hold until I decide what to do with the neck, whether it be order a custom one or modify this one. The guitar sounds and plays great....the 3rd pickup definitely allows for a wider range of sounds. It actually makes me miss my old JEM777VDY that I sold back in the mid-90's . Anyway, I'll update this thread as the mods continue. Thanks for the replies.
