This isn't much of an accident as an inconvenience, but a big storm hit last June and ruined my digitech Grunge and took its toll on my Korg AX10-G, which works but doesn't accept batteries anymore, sounds noisy and doesn't work too well anymore, besides being a tuner. That, and the cables took some water damage and my Samick's case got wet. I was pretty mad, but it gave me an excuse to buy my Metal Planet

I'm assuming he's going to want to mass produce these rack pies, and why not? I love racks, I love pies, so put them together and you have pie covered titties. - JJ

Don't thank me, thank the wombat rapist. - Jamie

That hurts like a bitch but I found it really funny when my colleague was working on an old Jackson Dinky that had been handed in for repair. The twit had tuned it up by one and a half tones but my colleague didnt read the receipt note detailing this. I cant remember the exact circumstances but we werent able to slacken the strings or dump the bar and relieve the tension but as he didnt know this he leant over it and started poking the bridge and three strings finally slipped out and slapped him across the face. The only thing funnier than his "Oh for fucks sake" in his dulcet tone was the customer picking it up and aking what he had done to his face to get wounds like that?

Done that on three seperate occassions at work. The ceiling in the basement is REALLY LOW and the bulbs are all fluorescent discharge tubes, so when they pop, they rain glass all over you.

Ouch!

The worst damage ever done to my guitars was done by someone else - I baby all my things they are all mint unless bought beaten up. A shop in Glasgow (which I will not name) refuses to allow gigbags and hardcases in the shop past te counter so they took my RG7420 and stuck it behind the counter. Halfway aroun the shop I look over to see MY GUITAR sitting on its fucking headstock

I started to see red right there, not only is it a fucking stupid thing to do but the headstock is angled so not exactly strong at taking all the weight of the guitar. As i started to go across to raise hell the poor thing fell over and too a massive chip from a box of wall hangers (like the long thin poles that you hangs Ernie Ball Slinkies on ). Fortunately, the headstock didnt snap. Unfortunately, the poor thing lost about 1.5 - 2 square inches of paint across the forearm contour.

I'd be getting them to pay for damage caused in their care, and really kick up a stink about it, as that is negligence caused by policy. Man, i'd not be leaving that shop without written evidence of them committing to pay for a respray.

At a show the other night, this chick ran up to me and poured beer in my mouth as I played, some spilled on my precious Rico Jr Custom, but it's all good no long term consequences Might have video evidence of this soon, I was pretty horrified but didn't let it be shown at least.

The only other thing, was I ordered a brand new USA BC Rich Custom Wave 7 about 5 years ago, and within 2 minutes of taking it out of the case I banged it against a coffee table and chipped it. I really was furious with myself.

I wouldn't worry, it all cleans off. I remember being covered in fake blood for an encore, strings went dead (ie, trem picking works, but all other notes just cut off straight away as the strings are covered in shit), pick kept slipping out of my fingers, and then the poor guitar tech had to replace the electronics in both guitars... But if it's just electronics, so that's ok!

Espaul is a jewel in the rough
Well I do not have any tales of my own, but a friend of mine does:

He was playing a gig with his band, and for some reason he borrowed a guitar from the local music store. Don't know why he needed to borrow it tho', he has 4 guitars already. Well, the thing is that while he was playing the gig, probably a little drunk and stoned, he fell on the guitar. Next thing you know the guitar had one less "full size" neck

Probably the worst thing that's happened to me would be on my Marshall Rockett guitar. I was changing strings and managed to drop a pair of sidecutters on the body of the guitar.... sharp bit first, resulting in one deep-ass dent!

Luckily my Dad managed to fix it up by fillng the dent up with black paint and buffing it down.

I've broken countless leads by accidently running them over while I'm playing guitar on a computer chair too.

A friend of mine took my S470 and dropped it on an angle and the arm assembly on the ZR trem broke so I have nothing but a big hole where the arm should be. Anybody know of where I can fix this?
