Which Ibanez model is this?

i was just looking around some site for some 7's and found this one. it sure as hell looks beautiful

OK, the site states that it's a RG2127. but i thought that there was just RG2027?????? i am keen to know about it!!

As Nikt said, the 2127 was Japanese market only. The only difference between it and the 2027 is the finish.

Pretty much worth buying for the trem and the neck. You could get a new body and still have an amazing guitar for undera grand.

I think a lot of people would want something that looks more like a CST. The stock body just looks generally fucked up too.

$547 is a helluva steal for that guitar. Even a little beat up as it is. If I would have seen it, I'd have totally bought it.

I bought mine new from Ishibashi in 2000 or 2001 for just under $1100 or $1200 new (Can't remember). And yes, as said, it's an RG2127X-TKF. The Japan market only version of the US RG2027X-VV. Transparent flat black vs. Vintage Violin. The mahogany body's pores show through on this finish, unlike the VV. It is a great guitar. Glad I bought it when I had the chance.

To tell you the truth, I'm quite surprised to see pics of one. As they're really rare. Aside from myself (being the only person on ss.org with one), I've only ever read about some guy in Europe on a forum having one, and saw a beat up used one on Ebay once.

And who said this 'sold' for $547?? Looks to me like it's actually still available. It's in the U-Box, which is their used gear page of the site. Somebody here better get ahold of Naren for some translations

The only universe I've ever played was the UV777BK (Black with the pyramid on the bottom of the guitar's body). I hated it, cuz I thought it felt thick/wide.

The neck on this guitar is EXACTLY like my RG7621 and RG7420 (My 7420 is an early model, which doesn't have the stripe in it. It's the same as my 7621). So if that tells you anything

Yup, it tells me I will like the profile on this

The modern UV profile is really different from stuff like the PWHs, much chunkier and I don't like them either. The older ones are more like the RG7620 necks.

I am going to go nuts until I hear back from Ishibashi. The last time I bought a guitar from them it took two days for them to respond to my initial inquiry
