Yes, no JP shield inlays. All EBMM guitars have dots on them, that is a given.

Hey let's try to keep this thread a happy one! Nah, in reality I have it paid back up to about $600 now from $1,600 a few weeks ago. I need to sell my Vetta and another guitar to get most of this new purchase covered sooner than later, and then it just comes down to eating REALLY cheap stuff (Ramen noodles to save the day... ) for a little while to come up with "extra" funds out of my current budget. Don't worry about my finances bro, if I really couldn't pull together the funds within a reasonable amount of time, I would have passed on what was definitely a fantastic deal. Besides if you knew our history (did I mention my girlfriend is fucking AWESOME? ) you would know that over the past 5 1/2 years my girlfriend has done this for me about... ohhh I dunno.... 30+ times.... and I've always come up with the cash to pay her back quickly. That's why I was trying to sell gear this time around because my rent is pricey in VA so my gear funds are lower than normal and I don't want to make her wait longer than she should have to. She told me just now that she has a ton of money saved up that isn't going anywhere so she's not worried about how long it takes me to get it back to her or else she would have said no. Don't worry, I have it under control dude.

My Carvin DC727 is KILLER for playability. I think (sadly) that is the one that is heading out first however because I plan on buying another CUSTOM one later on down the road with stainless steel fretwire. In fact, if there was only ONE aspect I wish I could change on the JP7 it would be the addition of stainless steel fretwire. That's what my incoming Thorn is spec'ed out with and any guitar I've played (Parker, Carvin etc.) with stainless steel fretwire has been absolutely killer for bending so I think I would be happier overall, plus my board is ebony and I think I'd prefer a birdseye maple fretboard for a custom Carvin. No doubt the necks on Carvin 7's are some of the most comfortable around. The neck on the JP7 (from what I remember when I tried one 3 weeks ago) was thinner than the Carvin but not as thin as an Ibanez. That aspect is something I liked because I've always struggled with Wizard profiles on a 7-string. I can see why so many people dig JP7's since I played one, and now that I have one on the way I'm REALLY happy! I've wanted one for a few years now and I'm finally able to snag one brand new at a decent price!

Oh yeah, she's (my girlfriend heh) not going anywhere anytime soon. Again, very glad we worked stuff out. She just needed to adjust to not seeing me every day, apparently for a girl it can REALLY freak them out. I miss seeing her every day but I know that I'll see her every week and the time apart just makes me happier with the time we spend together!
