![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Getting a baritone neck for my S7320, but where and what to consider? I just got my S7320 in yesterday and put the M7 in it and all, and it is pretty sick as is. But, it "overlaps" with my JP7 too much - I want each of my guitars to have its own unique role and sound so that I can actually justify having more then one guitar. The JP7 is too brilliant to mess with so the S7320 is going to get a fancy new neck I think urklvt has a S7420 with a 28.5" scale neck (two additional frets on the bottom of the guitar), which is cool, because then I can tune down to F# with no issues so I was looking for a 28.5" scale too.But then I worry about the ZR trem. Will it still zero properly? Will it require extensive messing around with the spring tension? Intonation issues? Can it even accept a .68 low string in the saddle? Should I just tremol-no it? And who can build me this neck? I can't say I like the profile the S7320 that much, or how cheap the neck feels (the fretwork is slick though), so I was going to go for a bit fancier 3 or 5 piece neck that has the same width and profile as my JP7's neck, and definitely an ebony fretboard and Dunlop 6100 super jumbo frets. I'm tired of trying to deal with Chris Woods so I was hoping there were other alternatives for guys who could build me an Ibby neck of this sort. _________________________ "Ah, she's built like a steakhouse but she handles like a bistro" - ZB My Soundclick Page |
