The guitar was traded in. there's a 30 day wait after a instrument is traded in, in case of reports of theft. the person who trades the guitar fills out pawn forms. in case of a theft, the store has the person's information on their papers.

When Guitar Center gets used stuff in, they have to make sure it's not stolen. I guess that takes a while to run it through the system. In the mean time, you can't take it out of the store. But now it's safely tucked away where nobody can touch it.

Man now I'm wondering if I should have bothered going to my Guitar Center that is 10 mins up the street.

I didn't see any good used stuff last week so I figured I wouldn't be kicking myself for not going, but you never know.

One year I scored an RG7620 in MINT condition with a FULLY flamed maple neck (the figuring was insane!) for $150, no joke.

Since I already knew I couldn't stick with Ibby necks back then I flipped it for like 600 or 700 within a week on eBay. GC guys who don't know their stuff FTW!
