RG7CT - repair chips, yay or nay?
What say you people? I love this guitar, and I think it would be even sexier if I repaired the chips using super glue, as demonstrated here. Also, anyone think I should stick a Schaller Sureclaw in this guitar? I don't plan on selling it, but in the event I get hard up for cash, is drilling a couple small holes to put this gizmo in going to hurt the value since it is somewhat rare?

Any particular reason? And are you talking about the chips or the Sureclaw? I'm really inclined to at least repair the chips because I'm anal about shit like that.

well, i mean, by all means, if you think you can get it to look as good as new foe the chips do it, but ifs not going to 100% cover it, i think i'd just leave it be, but also, with that wood grain, it would camo a fix like that,
is the sureclaw just purley a tremclaw? this rg has the piezo bridge doesnt it? |

Well, I wouldn't be painting over it, the super glue buffs out to be clear, just like the lacquer. There's no paint to worry about. The Sureclaw replaces the claw in the cavity so you can adjust spring tension by using an allen wrench instead of the 2 screws in the trem cavity. And no, this is not the one with a piezo bridge. That's the RG7CST, this is a few steps down from that

Fix the chips, but get a T-No.
You've got your head down You've got your eyes closed You look so pitiful now Your body encrusted with ash Breath heavy with toxins Hair singed and matted Clothes frayed and burnt You are left with nothing |

I don't want to lock the trem, I always want it fully floating. I just experiment with different string gauges and I'm always fucking around with spring tension, so that's why I'm a big fan of the concept of the Sureclaw.
