Question about Christopher Woods Guitars

If any of you guys have purchased form Christopher Woods, I'd like to hear comments on your experience and the quality of the product. I checked his site out yesterday and I'm pretty sold on him building the next axe I purchase. Just wanted some feedback from any that have dealt with them.

But in general excellent quality, bad wait times, though that may improve as he just hired another luthier.

Even with the extra Luthier, I imagine the wait time until he starts working on any orders that are not on the waiting list is going to be fairly long. I think the next 6-8 weeks have been set to clear the Current Orders, and then the waiting list will be chipped away at.

So everyone getting new quotes are probably looking at at least 2 months before he starts on your order. But once he does start on it, the wait shouldn't be as extreme as some of us are experiencing.

And jesus, how many Chris Woods threads do we need? There's atleast one new one every day it seems

Has anyone actually got a guitar from him yet?

Seems like a load of people ask him for quotes nonstop but because of his enormous waiting list nothing really gets purchased except for a few bodies from his store from time to time.

I, along with one other person I believe, brought Chris Woods to the attention of this site, and I still haven't received my guitar

I was ordering from Woods before it was considered cool

It isnt considered cool since no one actually has one! It cant be cool to have one if no cool person actually does have one.

Well, my right handed friend ordered a neck from him before I placed my order (Even though I put him on to Woods) and I can attest to the quality of his work.

The project he is working on for me right now, I provided the neck, so I won't be able to comment on that. But I'll be able to comment on the body work, pickguard, headstock veneer, and ability to wire up a sustainer.

My second project, will be the whole shebang.

Ive been on the waiting list since January. He said he would probably do mine in april/may, but I havent heard of him. Anyway, I have dropped the plans of getting that custom because Im so damn in love with the JP7 and its piezo.... I wonder if he could do a convertion 28" neck for it though.... Just an idea, probably not something Id go though with as that neck slays all!

If EBMM made a lefty jp6 or 7, then yeah, I wouldn't need a custom either.
