A 7 string guitar for 1600-1800
I already own an ibanez s guitar and im thinkig on buying a 7 string guitar on something like 1600-1800$.
Im listenning to alot of metal stuff but ive stated to listen also to more fusion/jazz stuff like shawn lane and allan holdsworth. So i want a guitar that will suit those styles too. Also another that is really important for me is comfortablity... i hate thick necks, and basically i hate guitars that arent buiolt for shredding(you can do shredding on a fender or a gibson but it wont as fun as it will be on an rc7). Basically im thinking on the rc7 but i want to keep my mind open so throw what you got. thanks, Trippled. |

You can get a nice old universe for less than that, and they are awesome guitars, same with used RG7620's and the like. Basically, for that amount of cash you can pretty much get whatever you want really!
But I would recommend the old UV's, they are nice, thin necks, built for going nuts on, plus they come with good pickups. |

oh, and do think about shipping and importing from the states, you'll get a much better deal that way rather than buying locally.

Yeah, for that amount you have a lot of options. Carvin, KXK, ordering a Jackson Stars from Ikebe, the RC 7, or a plethora of cheaper options...

i couldnt really understand whats going on, on that ikebe site.
amm i forgot to mention that i cant buy a guitar without a tremolo system.... and according to what i saw kxk doesnt seem to have one. i really hate uv's i cant stand them.. carvin's are nice but i think it will take a really long time till they will build a custom for me, im not sure how comfortable are they. oh and i hate v guitars too lol. Well nice to know i can get everything, the thing is i live in israel and you cant realkly find high end stuff here... so ill have tgo order without playing the guitar first. So thats why im asking you, because maybe you are familiar with brands and model;s that i dont know. the kxk looks good but i cant find a non v shaped one with a floyd. |

you have to order from japan or go ebay
though it sounds risky, i hear so many good stories about ordering from japan. theyre cheap there too. |

You might be able to find a used EBMM JP7 in that price range. Great guitars... super-versatile.
