C-7 Blackjack VS. C-7 Hellraiser

Ok, I'm pretty set on a Hellraiser, but I was dying to know other opinions. My buddy says the BJ will probably sound a little better with the seymour duncans and coil tap, but I think the hellraiser is worth it for all the cosmetic differences.

I have made a little chart between the two.

C-7 Hellraiser:
EMG 707's (B&N)
Mohogany Body and neck
Binding on body
Cross inlays
3-way selector

C-7 Blackjack:
SD JB in the bridge, '59 in the neck
Mohogany body with maple neck
Binding on body, neck and headstock
Dot inlays
Coil taps (5-way switch)

To me, they are almost exactly alike. I am going for the nevermore tone, so naturally, my pick is the HR.

They are very close- what I would say is, if you're using SS get the Blackjack, if you're using tube then it's kind of a toss up. As far as having a Nevermore tone, I think the Blackjack is as close as you can get without actually being the Hellraiser so it might not make much of a difference.

Do you know my name?
Do you know my NUMBER?

Why get a BJ if i have a solid state? Is it because of the passive pups?

Hýrukante is on a distinguished road
The Blackjack I think would have better sounding Pups tbh. Although, I’m not a fan of EMG's - after playing them for 5 years I’ve decided the only good thing about them is that they’re loud, but that’s not always a good thing!

But the high fret access is better on the Hellraiser and I cant stand guitars which make it hard for you to play so for that reason I would have the Hellraiser because you can always change to Pups if you didn't like them anyway, also I think it looks slightly cooler with the crosses on the frets

It's all about your pickup preferences. Their specs are almost identhical, despite the pickups. Both they'll play almost the same. Just decide yourself for the looks and pickups you like the most.
