Ive always wanted one of these guitars more so the 90's model ones but a local guitar shop recently got one that was slightly used. I figured hey why not so i put it on lay away but somethings been bothering me ive seen a few people who review the guitar say that it goes out of tune easily. Ive got a original floyd rose on my jackson and love it but how does it compare to the trem on the universe?

Welcome! Nice to hear you put some money down on a UV777BK. They're great guitars, I used to own one ( a '98) but I sold it because I wanted an S 7 bad, I regret it but since then, i've acquired 2 older UVs (1991s) and I love them to death. I'd say finish paying for the UV.

If it's going out of tune it's not set up properly

thanks i was really impressed with it. although the guitar is used i found no dents or anything on it case and all for $1500

They're great guitars, I've got two a 91 & a 99. Yeah, technomancer's right, it's not setup correctly if it's going out of tune frequently.
