LTD SC-607 Vs Ibanez UV777

very curious to find out how these 2 guitars compare with each other, they both look great and play great but which would you sooner have and why?

I've never played a 607, but the newer Universes I've played never impressed me. The older UVs like the PWH are amazing, however.

the best PBK's in my opinion are the pre 03' ones with the single piece neck and the lo pro trem...Even though its suppose to be the same guitar, there's just something about them...

It really depends on what features you want as both guitars are quite different. I would personally get the SC-607 because I don't use trems and the 3TB finish is great.

I have a single piece neck and an edge pro trem on mine. Must have been a transition phase lol

I have one of those! So it must be good

I was thinking about the SC myself, but the middle pickup looks in an awkward position, so I'd have to lower it out of the way, then it would be out of commision and just leave the bridge pu. Which I need for soloing!

If you go with a universe I'd say buy a used one as they are silly expensive new and they are always for sale on ebay/jemsite/here.

A friend of my mine just recently got one of these:

...and despite the bridge and the second pickup I thought it was pretty kickass. Given my choice, I'd take the Universe though.

I've never played an SC-607, but I have played a new UV777 and my H-207 was better imo, good guitars but not $1800 good, $800 sure. I was the first person to play the UV btw :P

Looks like the LTD may be taking the lead as far as choice is concerned, little cheaper too which is good.

Is there no noticeable difference in the way they feel and sound? I know the LTD has EMG's and tbh I’m really not the biggest fan. And plus I will be playing through a Engl Powerball and I hear EMG's don't sound too great through it either

What about build quality?

Which feels the most reliable?

Which is the most comfortable to play?
