Nah, not really, although for some reason i actually like the sound of the blazes in mine even if I am thinking of playing around with some different pickups, but it has a vibe all to itsself, and I'm not sure i want to change it oddly enough.

It's only blasphemous if you part it out!

I actually think if you hang on to the original pickups and just get some white whatever-you-want-to-put-in-there's, it'd be fine.

Yeah, I like Blazes, but I probably will end up throwing in a white Evo in the bridge. May try the D Activator as well. I love the Blaze neck though. I wouldn't part it out, I'd keep the original pickups around.

Congrats on the PWH Nick!
It's one of the guitars that i've gassed for for a long time now,but they're quite tricky to get over here and well over-priced too.
Was it that one on ebay with the screw hole in the front and back ?

If you decide to sell this one i might have to see how much you'll be asking. Was it a minty expensive as fuck one or what ?

I've got some cash sitting here that's really, really, really supposed to be being saved for something else but i'm getting real tempted to order a pair of Bareknuckle Warpig 7's for my RG2027xvv.
I LOVE the sound of the Alnico5 Warpig 6 string i've got in my Tele so that's what i'd like to stick with but then there's the temptation of checking out the Ceramic Warpig 7's.
I'm wondering if i ask Tim in advance whether he'll let me (for a small extra charge)send them back and get the magnets changed if i'm not happy with the one i choose.
FUCK!!! I'm so bad at decision making!!!
There's always the option of just ordering one of each and trying both of them in all of my 7's and seeing what sounds best in which, kinda' thing.

Are you gonna' stick with a white pickguard for the PWH James ?
If you are it might be worth changing the knobs and the switch-tip for black ones to go with the black Bareknuckles. That would look pretty cool too.

Another thing i noticed with my Bareknuckles is that quite a few of the patches on my Pod XT that sound shit with most of my guitars sound absolutely awesome with the Warpig!
The ones that sound great with my other guitars sound even better (like the best sounds i've ever had from any rig)with the Warpig.
I'm a little concerned that it might,to a certain degree, be down to the Aluminium body of the guitar that the Warpig 6 is in.

I'll have to find someone who will make me aluminium 7 string RG bodies if that's the case.

No it's not the one with the holes through it I found some guy who basically is clueless about guitars (he's a drummer), who bought this guitar in 1990 because he's a Vai fan, and basically hasn't played it much since. Frankly, the price I got was absurd, I almost feel bad for the guy.

It's not mint, it has 2 dings supposedly, but it looks really nice. I'll post pics when it shows up tomorrow. If or when I sell it, you'll be the first to know.

PS: You have me intrigued by a Warpig. I am interested to try something besides the usual, how much do those cost?

Sounds like you got a great deal, Nick!

I overpaid for mine but it was worth it. To this day, it plays as good as it did when it first left Rich's place. That and it only has 3 small dings, 2 of them are in the back, other than that it is MINT.

Yeah, what I paid was just ridiculous. The only thing I'm slightly worried about, it hasnt been played since before the fucking Soviet Union fell. Probably exaggerating, but it's been in his closet forever. I hope the neck isnt screwed up.

Probably about $200 for you - they are £99, and you'd have to pay shipping and some sort of import tax too.

WAY better than any Dimarzio though.
