So what do you guys think of this, it's probably made of balsa and sounds like shit.

I played one years ago when they first came out and I thought it was alright, the neck was a little too big for my tastes though. I know a few people here have them and enjoy them however. I still would like to own one just to have.

I haven't played one, but I've heard good things overall. If it's anything like the Strat VII, then it's got some real potential. I think it's pretty ugly, though.

I've already said this but here you go:

Imo, it's a good beater/project guitar. Especially for the price you pay.
I stripped the paint on mine, oiled it, changed the pick-ups, installed coil tapping and changed the electronics.

I love the reverse strat headstock.
Also, that licensed floyd (on mine) never (i mean never) goes out of tune, no matter how hard i hit it.

I don't like the stagemaster but Squier strat VII (that I have now) is very very good guitar. it's HSS

The Stagemasters are made out of Alder or alternatively Agathis. (Depends on who you talk to/when it was made, I guess)

I have one. They're ok. Surprisingly don't sound bad.

I wanted to buy one, a friend of a guitar shop had it there, for a 250 dollars guitar it's a nice solid piece.

I used to own the fixed bridge model and it was actually pretty decent. Needs new pickups and electronics though, the pots especially feel very cheap. It's got quite a chunky neck too.

The reversed headstock it's amazing for the strings tension

I like the neck, it's very comfortable and my hand feels very well in it.

Yeah, needs some pup and tuners change.
