On Thursday I am interviewing a Local Luthier for a position with my company.

Expansion is happening!

It is a done deal. The interview went very well. Henry will be starting to work with me tomorrow. Henry is also a graduate of the Roberto-Venn School of Luthiery and currently works at a local shop as a master repairman.

I am totally happy with the direction that things are going. With this new crew we will be more able to meet the demands that I have struggled to keep up with in the past. I expect that I will soon be able to continue the workshop expansions and by this fall we will be rocking!

Hello everyone, Its time for an update.


If you have checked my main NEWS page lately, you’ll already know that I have
Just hired 2 new people to work with me. Tony handling sales and communication
And Henry working in the shop with me.

All of you receiving this email have an order in process. I’ll be handling the email
On these orders through completion since I know all of the details on these and
Tony will be handling all of the NEW orders. I have just forwarded over 100 email
To Tony at the new address. Questions that I just didn’t have time to get to. This
Will make it a lot easier for me to get back to the 30 or so people who have jobs
In process. I’ll be answering those email over the next couple days. Anyone with
Questions, feel free to ask.

Having Henry working in the shop with me is great and it changes things a bit
As far as scheduling. These are good changes. It will ultimately means that things
Are going out sooner and we will have some extra guitar necks for sale soon.
Right now I am having Henry do some of the work on guitar bodies and necks.
For a few days this week, well be working together so that I can help familiarize
Him with where all the tools are at but later on I plan to be painting while he
Is working on other projects.

When’s it going to ship? That’s the big question. We have coordinate a 6 week
Schedule to complete the existing work. This basically breaks down into
NECKS- BODIES- PAINT and I have a top 10 That will go out this week based
On how much is currently done on these jobs. I’ll be sending a separate email
Tomorrow with ETA’s for each customer.

Due to privacy issues, I have removed all of my lists of customer names from my
Site. This includes the Current Orders page and Waiting Lists. Of course we still
Have this information for purposes of keeping things in order but we’ll be using
Email updates from now on.

I love the part about a 6 week schedule....I have a feeling that my order is going to be closer to the end of the 6 weeks, even though my order was at the top of his To Do list, before he axed the list due to "Privacy Issues"

Hehe don't feel bad I have a body that I already paid for that he was finishing for me because he dinged it and I haven't received a reply to any of three emails sent over the past three weeks.

Do you think this guy could build me a JP7-ish seven but with a mahagony body and without the arm curve thing? It seems like his options are pretty vast. I'd be willing to put forward the cash once I obtained if this is the case.

Someone on his waiting list is ordering a jp6 with a floyd route. So I don't see why not.


Hope you're looking forward to a lot of trial and error though. Also, if EBMM hears he's making them, they'll go after him. Like they did with Ed Roman.

No. That's Johnny something. That guy was a fucking joke. And I knew he'd crash and burn.

Sad thing is, he came onto the scene, crashed, and burned. All while my CW guitar was being built

So got an email this morning. Apparently, my guitar is set to be completed this week. Hopefully, with 2 extra guys working with him, there shouldn't be any excuses to why it won't be done this week.
