I nabbed this after doing some more research on this guitar. Ill post details and pics after I get it next Wednesday.

Im also a big Gibson guy so the three pickups dont bother me at all, in fact I was missing a 3 pickup guitar in the herd. My right hand anchoring/picking position is a bit lower than the average superstrat guy because I cut my teeth on tuneomatics before going floyd guy in the late 80's.

my head was spinning trying to figure out all the wicked coil-cut switching schemes i could design for that guitar! with 4 pots that could be replaced with push/pulls!

The body is Ash which Im definitely excited about in an Ibanez. The neck was built to be fast and thin like early 90's UVs. I hear ya on the coil taps idea too, Ive got three warmoth push/push pots sitting on my desk right now Im gonna go nuts with

Well I've been playing this thing exclusively since late last week. F-ING-A does LACS build a superior machine. I mean its not even close to my production and custom UV's. This guitar plays like a 91 UV with flawless fretwork and a completely raw neck. Neckshape and contour is old UV with just a hint of squareness. That hint of squareness might be what turned off RJ on it compared to his original UV's. I can tell this was built and setup for a shredder becuase the action is like retarded low. I actually had to raise the high strings a little and the bass strings a bit more just to be able to scoop under on bends. All three pickups seem to be a Blaze or Blaze variant from the sound. Its a little hard to tell with the ash body just by ear. Ill pull the bridge and middle out to verify. I have an X2N7 and DS7 Im considering installing in the bridge and middle respectively to compliment the insano coil tap and pickup on/offs Im installing in place of the regular pots. This guitar is without a doubt, my main axe. Im surprised that the rosewood doesnt annoy me, but its tight grained. Time will tell if it will move the GR to the #2 position permanently.

I tried to get some photos last night, but the matte finish looks retarded with any kind of flash on the camera. The flash makes it look dull and oily rather than deep ass black. I will try to shoot it in daylight without a flash to capture the true look and color. Without any type of gloss, its the blackest black you can imagine. Black hipshot O ring knobs are a must also, none of that cosmo crap on this guitar.

Preliminary photos till I can figure out lighting that works on this guitar:
