Atomic_gerbil is a jewel in the rough
Hellraiser VS. 1527

Two very different guitars, and if you could get both for the same price, which would you go for and why?

I personally like Nevermore, so I'm leaning hellraiser....

Out of the two I've only played the 1527. I think I'd go for the Hellriaser myself, though. Mainly for the looks, EMG's and hardtail.

I've played both and liked them both however, i'm an Ibanez guy so the 1527 is what i'd choose.

As I said via PM, I haven't played both, but the RG was an ovious choice for me. It has:
a slim neck, for large stretches.
Jumbo frets, because bigger is better. (Although, I don't know what the HR has.)
EdgePro trem, you can choose not to use it if you have it, but not the other way around.
and it has the cool pointy headstock. :P

You've got your head down
You've got your eyes closed
You look so pitiful now

Your body encrusted with ash
Breath heavy with toxins
Hair singed and matted
Clothes frayed and burnt

You are left with nothing

Played both, Hellraiser by a long shot - I can pull off any stretch on that thing that I can pull off on anything else, and I find that it feels a lot more comfortable to me. That said, I'd personally go BlackJack, because I prefer the JB/59, but Schecter is at the top without a doubt.

I'd have to choose the Ibanez. The Hellraiser seems like a really nice guitar (haven't played one) but the Ibby is the most comfortable guitar I've ever played. Oh, and I'm not a fan of EMG's.

I've spent 2+ hours shredding on a HR.

The neck is awesome, btw. It's flat like a Wizard 2 but fat around the sides like a gibson. Best of both worlds IMHO
