Arrow 7 strings Vs. 6 strings tonality

Hello, I'm about to buy a new guitar, and I've never had a 7 string one, so I'd like to know if 7 string guitars have lower tone than 6 string guitars (except the "7th" string of course) compared both are tuned in the same range, 6 tune (E-A-D-G-B-E) and 7 tune (B-E-A-D-G-B-E), do I get same sound and tonality playing a song in a 7 string like in a six string one?. Thanks beforehand .

P.D.: I'm sorry if I made grammar errors but I speak a little english

Why wouldn't you? My 7-string Ibanez has a lot more highs and mids than my 6-string Gibson Les Paul Studio which has a lot of bass. It's just an extra string. The low B doesn't somehow influence all the other strings to sound differently.

Yeah, assuming the same woods, hardware, body shape, pickups (in their 6 and 7-string versions), if you played the same E-major chord (for example) on both, it'd sound pretty similar. In some cases, the 7-string might sound a little warmer because there's more wood in the neck, etc. but not a hugely noticable difference.

You guys have to consider the differences in the pups though... you can't wind a 7 string pup the same way as a 6 string one. A properly designed 7 string pup will sound thinner in the middle range as a result, because otherwise the low B would be too muddy. A crappy 7 string pup (like a Drop Sonic) will sound the same on the top 6 and then the low B will be a boomy mess. The 6 and 7 string version of the same pickup do not sound the same even if all other factors are equal - they will be close, but there will be an audible difference live. Start recording and producing the sound and they go back to being the same.

I actually think the chunky neck makes a difference. Maybe a little less attack, but warmer like the poster above said. (Compared with a 6 string Wizard that is). The pickups are also quite different. A ceramic pickup in the neck??? DiMarzio pulled them off quite well though IMO. The Air Norton, while not as warm and chunky as a great 6 string neck pickup, is still not bad by any means.

The D-Sonic muddy? I'd think not Granted, it's not EMG clear, but it's not EMG blunt and compressed either

Guys, it's not even worth discussing, its negligible at best. The top 6 of a 7-string will sound pretty much the same as a 6, assuming you're comparing an otherwise identical guitar of course.

Try this place instead, they have it for less in USD then it was before the price got jacked.

You've got your head down
You've got your eyes closed
You look so pitiful now

Your body encrusted with ash
Breath heavy with toxins
Hair singed and matted
Clothes frayed and burnt

You are left with nothing
