You can try the luthier who made my 9 string. I will post soon some pics of my second 9 string. He can made guitar for you for 1000-1500 dollars depending from final parts costs. He wants 700 dollars for wood, work etc.

Mine is 25.5", and Rob is right that that is the shortest you'll want to go. I've played 24.75" scale length sevens, and the low B always sounds muddy, no matter what you do.

What are you looking for out of your instrument? If you play a lot of fast rhythms on the low strings, then I would recommend a 27" scale. Lower notes sound so much clearer and punchier. However, if you do a lot of lead work on the upper frets, it just doesn't sing out like a 25.5" scale. You really have to decide what is best for your stylistically.

I don't do a whole lot of serious solo work. Just short leads here and there. I would really prefer the low notes to be very tight and punchy, because I play fast rhythms, some "Gothenburg style" riffing here and there and lots of open and driving chords.

Sounds like 27 could be the magic number

The next option I have no idea about is the fretboard radius, I've never played a 7 string that didn't have a flat radius. So I don't know what would be best for me

By flat, I'm assuming you mean 16" scale. Only classical guitars and the occasional custom electric are flat.

I've decided on KxK as I have been talking to Rob and he has agreed to do what I want. The only thing I'm unsure of is the fretboard radius. I'm getting the impression that 16" is the standard for 7 strings, which is fine but has a rather flat feel. What other radiuses have been used on 7 strings?
