Updated Family Pics (2027 included)

I decided rather than resurrecting the old thread I'd start a new one. Here are a few quick picks of my little seven stringed family.

First, here's the group shot:

Next up comes the new baby's solo pic:

Here's a quickie of the new Fractal rig:

And last, just to show you I'm an old school SS.orger, the rack comes complete flying the true colors:

Ah, yes, they are a fucking ugly. They won't be staying in but I haven't decided what to replace them with. I wanted to check the pickups themselves out though. I'm not sure I like the Evo 7 in the bridge even if it did look cool.

Mine came with an evo7, didn't like it, was too clear and sterile in mahogony (although i do really like it as a pickup in basswood), replaced it with a TZ7, which was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay worse (in fact, total turd springs to mind), then tried a blaze custom, which was better, but satill not good. At the moment mine has a JB7 in it, which is the best one so far, but I am thinking a Custom7 would be better as the JB has a high end to it that gets annoying, which is what TDW said would happen! Neck pickup wise the PAF-7 was OK, but I didn't like that either...

If you like a really rock neck pickup, get the 59-7, or possibly the Jazz. I am thinking of replacing my 59 with a Jazz.

One thing is for sure, Duncans seem to suit the 2027 way better than dimarzio's do, although I haven't tried a D-Activator or Drop Sonic yet.

I'm trying to limit myself to two guitars (electric). I've found that if i allow mysel to own more I just end up using two of them 90% of the time and store the rest.

I actually prefer the feel and sound of the 7420 a hair but the ZR trem clinches the decision. As my 2027 will be my main guitar the backup has to handle alt tunings and the 7320 slays the 7420 at that.

I'll have the 7420 for sale as soon as I get time to snap some decent pics.

I'm thinking that a Drop Sonic / Air Norton may be the direction I'm heading.
