As soon as I saw the thread title I knew James had seen Doug again

Last April Doug told me a 7 would run around £1700, an 8 around £2000 and a fanned 8 for £2300ish. Obviously this depends on wood choice. For anyone outside the UK who thinks they're overpriced, bear this in mind. Here we pay £1400 for a UV, £1600 for a Jem7VWH and £1800ish for a JP7. Still think Blackmachines are overpriced in their home market? Thought not!

I am seriously considering selling a custom guitar I haven't even got yet to buy a blackmachine 7. I've spent the same amount, but I only discovered black machine after I'd paid for the one being built. Damnit.

Keep in mind that unless it's a "name brand" custom like a Jackson or ESP you're not likely to get close to what you paid for it if you resell it.

Incoming Pimptastic Purple KxK Singlecut of Doom
Orange 2x12 - Damn am I colorful

I know, that's why I stopped and thought about it rather than just doing it

yea, they look like amazing guitars, and in europe if its about the same as a uv then thats a great deal for you guys, but man, over here, 5000-6000 dollars for a guitar is unheard of unless your a super famous musician or extreamly rich, not that they arnt worth it, but there are plenty of guitars for 1000-2000 that are as good as they are going to get playability and soundwise, i'd love to get one, but with a pricetag like that, its hard for us american boys to basically pay the same amount you would pay for a decent used car
