+1 On the sheer awesomeness of Blackmachines. They are the only reason I want an 8 - having played one I can honestly say I have never wanted anything more in my life - even an S7420FM

They are worth every penny! And to all the Yanks wincing at the price, a painted Jackson US (not custom) is $3000 over here and an ESP works out between $5-6000, so Blackmachine, while relatively inexpensive aren't so bad for us dudes

Yep, as far as custom guitars go, they are right in line with prices for us poor bastards over here. Considering you can get a blackmachine for the same price as a Jem or UV, it is very reasonable.

Heh, yeah, I know the waiting list is long and keeps getting longer. It probably won't be long before he'll have to stop taking orders for a bit.

I'm hoping with the new graphtech 7 string piezo system he might be more inclined to do it, The electronics don't take up that much room, though it does need a battery. I think he'll install emgs though, so the battery compartment shouldn't be a big deal.

I should write him and see.

Never played one, but the videos I've seen of them looked pretty sweet and sounded cool (I'm sure they sound 10x better in person). But with prices like that, I would never even consider one.
