That would be relevant. I don't recall seeing it. I want to see that neck joint. |

Its satin/matte finished. No issues with gripping on the back of the neck because the finish is thin and and porous and feels not much different than a very worn in Fender satin neck. Neck girth is quite a bit larger than an old Ibanez 7 (early 90's) and a bit thicker than the more modern 5-Piece Prestige 7's. Think moderate to heavy D carve. Overall the guitar reminds me of a hybrid of a Gibson 59 LP (neckshape and set neck quack), with an extended strat scale and features, and a very 80's warmoth-like fretjob. The OFR7 is a welcome change from Ibanez trems I have been on for what feels like years. This is another keeper, a welcome addition to the herd.

I'll snap you all a shot of the Loomis neck compared to my JP7 tommorow, that's allready overdue.
It's quite thick, and yet still feels very slick. It's an awesome profile. eelblack2, congrats mate! Yeah, those frets are HUGE! I'm thinking about going to luthier to chop them down a bit. |

It reminds me of my first Warmoth neck from back in the 80's. That had 6100 on it. I like it - the feel is almost scalloped cause the strings barely touch the FB when fretting.
I surprised there arent more Loomis owners on this board by now. |
