The Chris Woods RGA7 body has cometh!

Oh yes, the day I've been waiting for since early Febuary has come!

I couldn't wait to take pics of the unopened box and the knife and shit; I went strait for the good stuff

Sans bubblewrap in all it's naked glory

mmmmm flamed maple goodness

mmmmm fat mahogany tone! Looks like a small drop of hot plastic melted into the back (the small black spec), but it's just a minor blemish in an otherwise near perfect guitar

Its hard to capture the arch to the top, but its perfect in real life, just like the real RGA's!

The transplant begins very soon

I'm not patient enough to wait to do a blueburst finish and clearcoat, so I'm off to go pick up some tung oil and wood conditioner and just leave this beauty naked. I also need a new neck pickup to go with the D-Activator before I wire it up, but I should be playing it soon, I cant' wait!!

Hopefully I hear something form him about mine, this is week 5 out of projected 6 weeks to get the finish work done on it and he hasn't answered the last three emails I sent him...

The RGA has a slightly arched top, but they don't make those with the correct number of strings for us mere mortals.

I would love to see an RGA 7 and with all the endorsers ordering them I wont be surprised if one shows up in the future.
