Noob needs help with intonation
i was wondering why my chords didn't line up... huzzah intonation!!!
so i can't even get the low B in line because the cheap floyd saddles won't go back far enough. i'm thinking intonation might be the issue but i'm not sure what i should do with it. help!!!![]() |

how is the rest of your setup?
when i tried using a .60 for my B string, i had the same problem, and actually couldn't get the saddle back far enough. i went back to a .54 (or, whatever the standard is in the D'Addario seven string pack'o 9's), and managed to get everything set up. sure, i had to take the spring out from behind the saddle (fixed bridge), but it's all good ![]()
I have a radical idea. The door swings both ways,
we could reverse the particle flow through the gate. We'll cross the streams. |

I have the same problem. And thats with a .059, and to get the correct tension (personally) I have to move up to a .066 or .068 which will make the problem even worse!
C'mon people! do we buy 27" guitars or shut up?

everything else seems to be ok really. i'm tempted to adjust the truss rod but i'm not sure exactrly what i'm looking for in results. i hear a bunch of people saying how it wasn't the truss rod that was the problem but i don't trust bc rich either and mines from korea and its used. the fretboard is beginning to crack off the neck at the nut and it looks like some of the frets are bowing out in the middle of the neck.
