Extreme favoritism on here?

Can anyone explain to me why this site isn't called "ibanezsevenstring.org"? Lol. I've been noticing more and more lately that the most discussed, owned, and sought after 7's on this forum are Ibanez guitars. Now, don't get me wrong, I like Ibanez guitars, I have one, and use to own a Universe back in the day...but I don't understand the almost exclusiveness. There are very very few people on here that have anything but an Ibanez, I know that I own a Schecter 7 (as well as a few others), and one lucky fellow here has an EBMM Petrucci as well as a Conklin..even though it's 8 or 9 strings. Anyway, just thought I'd throw that out there. Maybe I'm the only one who really ever noticed this, who knows, heh. Latah.

Well, for one Ibanez 7s are probably the most popular. Also, You can get a good, quality used Ibanez 7 for relatively cheap. Great bang for your buck when it comes to used 7s.

I have an RG2027... Ibanez, of course. I think it's just because there are (and have been) so many Ibanez 7-strings.

But do I want an EBMM JP7? Hell yes. Do I want Schecter C7? Hell yes. Do I want a Soloway Swan LN7? Hell Yes.

You get the idea... I love my Ibanez, but that doesn't mean I don't like or want other 7-strings.

I play a Schecter Avenger 7 and a Carvin 727. I'm not opposed to owning an Ibanez, but neither am I pining for one.

I love Ibanez guitars. Especially their 7s. I like other guitars too.

whilst many people here own ibanez guitars - i dont think they are considered the be all - they are simply the easiest to get, and often the best value for money.

I dont see why you should get ripped - I actually agree with you to some extent on the "same" factor - and we are all entitled to opinions.

yeah, they have a bit of an issue with variety. of course, since the 7string market isn't very big, they can't afford to provide much factory variety.
