Congrats Christopher
I own a 2027xvv and it's a great guitar. It was actually my first 7 (i got lucky and snagged it for a real cheap price)so it spoiled me a bit and set the bar quite high for me.
Did you get it for a good price or what ? They seem to be appearing for sale less and less all the time these days and the ones that do seem to be fetching very 'healthy' prices.

I'd love to get a real nice custom body made for mine at some point, when i've got a good bit of money to spend so i can get a top quality one built.
Not that there's anything wrong with the stock body but i'd just like to try a mixed wood body, like mahogany with a thick maple top or something along those lines.
The neck is definitely the largest of all the Ibanez 7's i've had but it's still very comfortable and it's not large in comaprison to most other makes of 7 string. It just fills your hand more than the average super slim RG7620 or UV neck.

I'm sure you'll enjoy it though and congratulations again man! 2027's kick-ass!

And while it's fresh in my mind, what's an 'Axe FX' dude ? Any links or pics of this rig ? I've seen you mention it a few times and meant to ask what it was.

To best describe it, think a Vetta preamp with Eventide Eclipse effects section and tube warmth and feel. It's like a super modeler / fx processor.

I like the 2027 for playability, but other than that for me it's been a nightmare finding the right pickups for it. Probably as i don't like mahogony on it's own.

But it is an ace guitar, and i won't sell mine, just have to get a new body built for it, that's all

Congrats man. I had one of those once, and it was incredible, I've been trying to find another one for quite some time. You'll love it!

Mine had an Evo in the bridge and a Blaze neck in the neck, sounded great.

Congrats Chris!!! I wish I could dig the skinny Ibby necks more because some of the guitars have features I love (piezos + floyd = sex!). Nice find bro!

Nice man, this year it's great for all the people here, LNG for djpharoah, lego customs RG's, Shecters for some people, Stephen Carpenter Pink Camo, etc.

Congratulations about all the stuff that you are buying. I'm buying too, but effects, to complete my rig.

Mahogany's not a problem for me. I love my S series guitars. This one already has a Blaze / Evo combo in it.
