9-68.... extra Light to extra heavy FTW!
I love the feel of thicker low strings and thinner high strings, somehow I like it more that way.Ah, forgot... I tune to Standard A.

I got a set of 10 - 60's on my axe but the Low B is still round sounding to I'm gonna keep going lower til I find the nice crisp Low B I'm looking for, I used to love 11-70's

9, 11, 16, 24, 36, 46, 54. Which is basically top 4 from regular 9-42 and 36 and 46 are from 10-46. The 54 was the thickest that the nearest guitar store sold and it just happened to work real well for me, so I stuck with that set up.
I'm in A-standard, and I've never played a guitar set up so nice. It has tons of up-pull on the trem, real low action and the strings, though maybe a tiny bit slack for people into heavy strings, have a great tension.

I like the tight feel of .016 - 0.90s for brutal distortion and GRVM metal sounds!

I USE STANDARD 10-46 ERNIE BALL REGULAR SLINKY'S FOR STANDARD 6 STRING TUNING EADGBE, & THE SAME FOR THE 7 WITH AN ADDED .056 FOR THE LOW B, WORKS FINE FOR ME.
FOR D TUNING DGCFAD, I USE ERNIE BALL 11-52'S.

9 - 52 here, on a 26.5" scale. I usually tune my axe to Bb, but the low B often goes down to G# when I'm playing jazz (or drop "chugga" thingies) or even to F when I feel the need to play LOW.
![]() Believe me or not, but even when going down to F the 52 stays clear and practically never buzzes. The only issue is the difficulty to mute the string quickly when playing it ; it still vibrates a lot. Same thing as a bass string, I'd say.
