Bartok is just really niceBartok is just really nice
Turn your pick round- think about how the pick would normally pass over the strings on the main wide part, to get decent pinch harmonics, turn it so the edge (the thin part) hits the strings. You shouldn't have that much pick stuck out from your fingers anyway, so this way makes sure your hitting the string with the edge of your thumb on the way down, then your first finger on the way up. With a little practice you will be able to get perfect harmonics on both up and down strokes- you should be able to fire them off in either direction as the piece demands.

This may help you or not, but I used to be able to do harmonics slightly, but not precise enough to actually make use of it with any consistancy, so it usually ended up being some sort of neat effect I'd occasionally get by accident. Recently decided to switch from the normal tortex picks I was using and gave Dunlop Jazz IIIs a try. I noticed immediately I was able to do them much more consistantly, likely due to the thickness and shape of the pick. It may not work for you, but it did the trick for me.
