Chrome Framus Custom Shop 7 String.

Spotted this thing on the Framus site the other day.
I've seen Chrome effect 6's made by Framus before but not a 7.I'm not sure exactly what method they use to apply the finish to the body but it looks pretty good.
I think it's one of the Chrome type paint finishes that's available.It's definitely not that terrible ncikel-plating type stuff that guy on ebay was selling before (he was a right fuckin' idiot

)and i don't think it's any of the methods Sims in the UK use either.
I'm not overly enthusiastic about Framus guitars usually.They play amazingly and are built really well but their cosmetics could be better.I could live with the shape and stuff with this finish i think though.
It's got a nice looking neck/body joint too.Strange looking wood the neck is made from though.I think they use that wood called 'Ovangkol' or something

Could be a German translation of something else,who knows!

The two bolt thing makes me wonder how easy it would be to just plain rip the neck off.

It probably uses the same bolt joint as the ESP Hybrid, there are 2 bolts in the neck pickup cavity which go the opposite direction (through the neck to the body).

Looks sweet, cool inlays too.

Ovangkol is a type of wood, it's not a weird German name for something normal: http://www.taylorguitars.com/guitars...?type=Ovangkol

hte back and sides of my acoustic are made of ovangkol, i thik its supposed to sound somewhere between mahogany and rosewood, i like it.

looks really cool too.
