Black Machine

Anyone ever play the 7 string? (B7 i think it's called) I saw a review for one of the 6 strings in a guitar mag a while ago, but apart from that I haven't heard anyone mention them. They look pretty cool and I was just wondering if they were worth considering

Cheers

EDIT: sweet jesus, I just caught a look at some of the prices of those things

I've played a Blackmachine 8 and it is indeed the most awesome thing I have ever played.

The prices are steep but you are paying for what is arguably the best quality build and materials and woods available. Point out one guitar that is cooler than a Blackmachine - it just doesn't exist.

Blackmachine definetly look the business, and I'd absolutely love to try one out. Damned expensive though!

Yeah, keep in mind that if you live in the US they start at about $3000 WITHOUT A CASE (cases are $400). They start at L1500 in England for a B2.

They look nice, but I think they're kinda overpriced I dunno, I sort of dig them but not really.

Have you played the 8 or 884 model, Stitch ? I'm more than interested to own one of Doug's guitar, yet I can't decide if I'd want to give the 8 a try (a 3000 euros try !) or stay on a 7 strings model ... And as a lefty player, I can't just pop in and grab an axe ...

It was the 8. Metalfiend666 has played the EMG equipped version (I think?) and the 884 - he swears it was awesome. Shoot him a pm, but he'll probably reply here in a minute. He has a knack for that.

They are very pricey, D-EJ915, but you gotta remember thats more due to the fact that the American dollar is worth very little compared to the British pound - about £1=$2. The economy over here is strong and things are expensive - a 7321 is RRP £350 (~$700) and a price of £2000+ really isnt that unreasonable - ESP and Jackson Customs easily pass the £3000 mark (~$6000).

To put it in more context, a brand new Universe is about £1200 if you find it cheap - thats $2400. Do you pay that much for a new UV?
