Help me choose a new paint job for my ESP

So I've got a very run-of-the-mill, plain jane black ESP M207. It's totally unremarkable in every way and I'm sick of it.

Especially compared to my first-year Jackson Kelly STD. That's a flashy looking guitar, even if it is in black.

Now, I've got black EMGs so painting my pups white is out of the question. Great big white bars of soap don't do it for me.

Also, I want to avoid spending money here, so getting the paint stripped and doing it up in one of those Kameleon car paint colors, while ideal, is out of the question.

I saw someone here had an EMG with a gray textured paint on it though. How would that be done? Any other textures that anyone can think of? I used to know how to spackle interior paint way back in the day...

Why not try something like this?

It's kinda the basis of what they did on the Truckster. Paint in layers of contrasting colours, then selectively sand through them to reveal patterns. Kinda like a more controlled "swirl".

This space intentionally left blank.

That's a really interesting idea. I might just try it; although I'd almost certainly end up using a different color scheme.

Maybe a gray to white to red to black... I dunno...
