I personally think that the JP7 is one of the few guitars that cosmetically needs absolutely nothing changing or altering about it at all.
"Less is more",as they say.

I can see the chrome knob swap for those who like them to match up with the hardware but apart from that it's perfect as is (imho).

I thouhgt you didn't like JP. You've said he's like a joke in your country.

You've got your head down
You've got your eyes closed
You look so pitiful now

Your body encrusted with ash
Breath heavy with toxins
Hair singed and matted
Clothes frayed and burnt

You are left with nothing

Yeah, but these are 2 different things, one it's the guitar and the other JP. JP bores me, but the guitar sounds amazing.

BTW Yeah, here in Argentina we LOL a lot about JP jokes

I'm waiting that some closed mind JP fan gave me some neg rep

Very nice Allen. I'm exceedingly jealous right now, but not as much as I would've been if it'd been desert gold or Egyptian smoke.

I demand a full review once you get a chance to really put it through it's paces.
Edit: I also don't think the M7 is ugly as all. It looks a lot better than the D-Sonic. IMO
Me too, I liked all the options except the inlay. If I had my way, I would have a blank board.
Sound is what's paramount, looks secondary, but my hand is almost always directly covering it while playing anyways.

True dat, mang. I'm still undecided on it's looks really, but there's no doubt it has that slightly primitive, hand-made look to it, which looks great on say, an axe that's either beat-up or finished in matte black. But on a pimpin', flashy looking axe like this, it does look a bit like Fred Flintstone sitting down for dinner at Buckingham Palace.

Fuck, you're a quick worker. It seems like it was only last week you were thinking about getting one of these and within a week (or so) you've sold your CSD1 and bought this.
You're gonna' have to teach me how to make decisions and act on them,in a short space of time.

I am starting to get there with my guitar sale and new axe acquisition but i fuckin' dither so much it ain't funny (well, maybe a little ).

I think the M7 looks OK in there, and it's how it sounds that's really important at the end of the day anyway. If you did want a pickup with comparable power and grunt to the M& but with a slightly neater appearance you could always try a BKP.
I'm gonna' be getting a few Bareknuckle 7's made in the near future(hopefully!) so maybe i could send you one over in the mail for a couple of weeks for you to test-drive without having to spend all that cash 'blind',so to speak,as long as you sent the fucker back that is.

I'm glad you're enjoying your new plaything anyway man
A couple of Soundclips would be nice when you get the chance too.

I actually quite like the black knobs, but then i'm not one for chrome knobs at all.
I don't mind a nice chrome Lo-Pro or even a set of chrome tuners but i like the knobs to blend into the background as much as possible.
Love the pearloid tuner buttons on the JP's too.
I've been thinking of getting a set for my Aluminium Tele as i've got a set of the Schaller M6 locking tuners on that.I think they'd suit a Tele too.
Thanks Dave, and thanks also for the BK offer, I've been thinking about these as well for some time. A Warpig is sounding tempting, we'll see.

Yeah, when I get into dealing mode, I go full steam ahead until completed
Get the pearloid buttons for that Tele man, soooo nice looking.

Hmmm.....yeah, I like it! Thanks for that suggestion Bob. Most of the stuff on the guitar is chrome, so do the knobs and pickups with chrome bobbin-toppers. The whole axe would be just MD paint and chrome - very posh. No black at all, which is a nice change. It's not like I've haven't had enough black guitars already.

Maybe, but I think with some creative layering, I can achieve the effect without any dimpling.

Thanks James, this was just a case of opportunity knocking. Originally I also wanted one in Egyptian Smoke or Graphite Pearl, but this was the only JP7 available in our whole chain of 28 stores, so I went to see it and was floored by the finish the very second he opened the case. I think in my mind I decided to buy it literally within a minute and a half of looking it over, sighting the neck, and then playing it. "uhhhhhh...oh man...this neck feels like sex...uhhghh..drool....I'll take it."

Please be kind to snakes. They can't help it.
