Wow. That fretboard is gorgeous. How much of an upcharge is birdseye?

Nice!

I'd love to try a Carvin out sometime. I've never even seen one in real life...

Glory and praise to Thee, Satan, on high,
Where Thou didst reign, in Hell where Thou dost lie,
Vanquished, silent, dreaming eternally.
Grant that my soul some day rest close to Thee
Under the Tree of Knowledge which shall spread
Its branches like a Temple overhead.

I just noticed you're in Finland.
Did you have to order the guitar through a Carvin dealer in Finland or what ?
There's one or two Carvin dealers in the UK and you can order customs through them but they're like 3 times the price that you'd pay in the US ordering direct from Carvin.

Did it cost you a lot more than the US prices ?

I personally don't find a painted neck a problem at all but if i had the tung-oil option i think i'd have to try it.

Gotta' love that Pearl White finish too
Thanks mate!

To be totally honest, it was partially my budget, and partially the fact that I have never had issues with painted necks either.

Yep, the pearl white finish is stunning

30 bucks in the States, but I had to order mine through the Finnish dealer, and their prices were not so friendly

Yeah, the guitar is a lot more expensive here, since I had to get it through the Finnish dealer. The price was over 1400 euros. If I remeber correctly, the stock version costs about 1100 euros. Even the options seem to be a lot more expensive here.

But, it still is rather cheap for a neck-thru, "custom" 7-stringer
