Just submited a quote request to Christopher Woods.

Well, I picked up on Mr. Woods from you guys and after checking his website I submited a request on a custom guitar. I`m actually very anxious to hear from him.

I speced out a neck-through Ibanez RG 7-string. Pretty simple actually.

Body: Mahogany
Neck: Mahogany
Fretboard: Ebony, no inlays, 24 stainless frets
Headstock overlay: Ebony
Body top veneer: 3/16" ebony

I asked for standard RG specs like edge radius, tummy cut, forearm cut. Also standard electronics setup with single volume, single tone, three-way blade type switch and direct mount EMG actives. Also set up with a standard Ibanez type fixed bridge. Oil finish on the entire guitar.

It should be a monster and a looker with the ebony top treatment.

Eric

All hail the true metal God...Jesus! Where do you think metal came from?

Damn, I knew there was something I forgot. I didn`t specify a reverse headstock. I wanted to get one to match the reverse headstock that my new ESP M-1 will have. I love reverse headstocks and the Ibanez shape looks really nice reversed. Well, I`ll let Chris know after I get the initial quote.

I`m hoping that even with his wait time, that I may get the guitar by Christmas. That would be a sweet ass present for myself.

I think that I will go ahead and have him put me on his waiting list. That will give me some time to decide on some final small specs. I havn`t decided if I want to go with a 707 or an 81-7 in the bridge position. Hmmm....

This is just my thought, but it may be a bit cheaper to get the hardware and install it yourself, since I think he has an upcharge on top of the hardware costs.

You've got your head down
You've got your eyes closed
You look so pitiful now

Your body encrusted with ash
Breath heavy with toxins
Hair singed and matted
Clothes frayed and burnt

You are left with nothing

I will probably buy all the hardware and electronics myself. Then just send it all to Chris when I send the down payment to start the guitar. I believe he does have a 10% upcharge when you buy the hardware from him. I do want him to completely assemble and set it up though.

No, he`s not set up to cover my specs with the speed guitar option. I`ve got to go the regular custom route, be put on the waiting list and then just wait.

I thought Chris wasn't going to do any more custom jobs atm? I emailed him and he said that he was full-up and wouldn't accept new orders for a while.
