Fixed bridge RG1527
Hey guys, i was wondering, is it possible to get a Ibanez prestige RG1527 with a fixed bridge? i am thinking of getting one but i change tunings way to much to have the hassle of a floyd. Also whats the difference between this and a RG7321?? Thanks in advance

Good news: it does exist.
Bad news: It's Japan-only, so you have to order it from someone like Ikebe. Division - American metal that doesn't suck. Much. Even on Facebook, and Soundclick might eventually be updated, too.

The 1527 is just higher quality, they have the same woods so it's not like I can say "......" is the reason why. Just more detail goes into the production and better quality wood, I guess.

RG7321s are hit-or-miss. You can either get a really good one or a really bad one, so if you decide to take that route, make sure you actually try the specific guitar you are considering to buy. Another option is to try and track down a used RG7621. A third option is to buy an RG1527 and a tremol-no. I don't use my trem at all, and I have an RG1527 on which I change tunings all the time. Plus, if you ever decide you do want to do some dive-bombs/trem tricks, you can do that too: http://www.tremol-no.com/ ---------------------- Visit my band, 'Emulsifier.' Unless you suck. Thanks guys! i think i'll go with the tremol-no option, it really does look like the answer of my prayers! I was actually interested in the schecter C-7 hellraiser at first but was put off buy having to import from america (theres only one dealer over here in britain and they charge £150 to import one specialy
) so importing from japan isnt really an option.

tremolno is the best option IMO, because you never know.. one day you might want to work on some trem stuff.. Plus IMO I love the feel of trems over fixed bridges on my palm ;o

I'd say save yourself a lot of money and get the 7321. Then buy and new bridge PU and it will be better than the 1527.

The 1527 has an amazing bridge on it, so best thing would be to get one and get a Tremolno.... Eventually, I'm sure you'll want to use it!
Just change the pups to PAFpros or something similar.... Up the shut ...., you must.

Or a C7 hellraiser, which is both fixed-bridge, and comes stock with EMGs.
I know you said that they'd charge you a lot to import one, but surely some music store somewhere in the UK must have some Hellraisers in stock... The only thing to watch out is for the beefy neck.

Then again if i do get the 1527 i'll end up fitting emgs which will probably bring it up to about the same price as importing the schecter.
Right people, decision time, what do you think, Schecter C-7 hellraiser, or ibanez prestige 1527 with emg 707's?? |

it will be almost like the guitar ive been gassing over for months ![]() RG8327- cept this one is made of alder and has the new APEX1's finish (and costs a grand more than getting a 1527 and routing it out for EMG's) |

Why spend $200 plus more on EMG re-routing when you can get them stock for less than the total price of the 1527? Or buy a 7321 and then put EMG's in it- which would be cheaper than the both options.

I like the Schecter better, having played both guitars. In fact, I liked the Schecter better than the UV I played right after it. (Admittedly, I've played better UVs than that one...)
Division - American metal that doesn't suck. Much. Even on Facebook, and Soundclick might eventually be updated, too.

the thing is over in the uk the stock guitars (hellraiser and 1527) both cost £500 (give or take) but if i get the schecter i'll pay an extra £150 for importing , and if i get the 1527 i'll pay an extra £150 for the emgs. so they'll cost about the same, and if it were a choice between the 1527 and 7321 i'd rather go for the better quality 1527, even if i were to change the pickups. |
