EBay ripoff on Ibby S7!

http://cgi.ebay.com/IBANEZ-7-STRING_...QQcmdZViewItem

Look at the rusty trem and hardware! All the dings!

I got my mint one for less than $600!

Thoughts?

It should've been cleaned before pics were taken, that's for sure.

I paid over a grand for my S7420BP brand new back in late 2002/early 2003.

My seven has about that much rust on its trem. And 1000x more rust than that on the locking nut (since the nut is made out of metal). One of the screws on my guitar is so rusted that it looks like it was left at the bottom of the Pacific Ocean for 10 years.

Naren, does your rusty trem affect the tone or playability of your axe?

Nope. Sounds just as good as when I first installed the new pickups (since it actually sounds better than "when I first got it"). And the tremolo seems more stable than it was when I first bought (I'm sure that has nothing to do with the rust, though ). I haven't had any problems relating to the rust... well, other than it doesn't look very cool. But the only seriously noticeable rust is on that screw I mentioned. If I'm playing on the stage, the nut rust and trem rust isn't noticeable. If the strings were rusted, I'm sure it'd affect the playability, but they aren't rusted, so it plays very nice and smoooth.

Glory and praise to Thee, Satan, on high,
Where Thou didst reign, in Hell where Thou dost lie,
Vanquished, silent, dreaming eternally.
Grant that my soul some day rest close to Thee
Under the Tree of Knowledge which shall spread
Its branches like a Temple overhead.
