![]() | .066 string for low B on Ibanez RG 1527 - Anyone uses it? Hi everyone! I've come across some very useful info about optimum gauges and I'd like to first of all, thank Mind Riot and everyone else who wrote those threads about optimum gauges! They helped a lot of newbies like myself! What I wanted to ask was specifically about the .066 gauge string for the low B. I wanted to know whether that string would fit in the hole of the tuner (on the RG 1527). Perhaps if there's anyone who's done it can confirm this, thanks! ![]() "There is no way to peace. ![]() ![]() ![]() | noooooo, you'll only have to do that if you get some REALLY heavy strings I think a .070 should work without drilling too, not shure about anything beyond that though |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I had to drill my tuner on the hellraiser to fit with a .68. I didnt have to with my 007 though. And both of those guitars Have the same tuners. So you might have to drill anyway. Probably not though. "Guys, you gotta stop it with all these threads.
