New guitar!!

Just finished building this, the latest 7-string project. The neck is solid rosewood, with a rosewood fingerboard from the same piece of wood, 22 medium-high frets, side dots only. The body has a centre block of ash which the neck bolts into, that goes under the bridge to the strap button. The rest of the body is perforated steel all round, welded together with 6mm solid bar around the edges, then powder coated with clear lacquer. It has a Bare Knuckle Holy Diver in the bridge and then two single coils re-wound by Bare Knuckle to Sinner specs in the middle and Trilogy Suite in the neck.
Anyway, thought you guys might like a look

Now that is Metal!!! How does it sound? I would imagine it to be super bright and tinny sounding. Definitely cool and different, though. Great job.

Holy crap that looks awesome haha. I'd love to know how its sounds as well. Also, how is it playing while standing? Seeing as the body is pretty much hollow, I assume it has neckdive? Unless that perforated steel is heavy as .....

Definitely not something you see everyday. HNGD!

Holy guitar Batman !!

I dig

Kamikaze7 I for one value my guitars and gear like people value their kids - ....ing with my guitars or gear is equal to me molesting your kids - you just don't do it if you value your life...

Whiskey_Funeral For that much money I'd just put myself through Luther School and build the damn thing myself.

MaxOfMetal I just love guitars. It doesn't matter how many strings, frets, pickups, or wood used I just dig the .... out of them all.

It doesn't sound toppy at all, it actually sounds really fat and punchy especially on the bridge humbucker. My theory is that its because of all that steel adding to the magnetic field of the pickups. Unplugged there is a high shimmer to the sound but it doesn't really seem to translate to the plugged-in sound. And the neck single coil sounds very vocal, round, very stratty, which I also love. Lots of character in this guitar, thats for sure.
And its not neck heavy, the body weighs a similar amount to a normal solid body so its close to normal, just a touch on the heavy side overall (about 9lbs total).
Thanks for the nice comments everyone, I'll get a pic of the back up in a bit, and I'll work on sorting some clips
