New 7-string day (wednesday)

thanks to dan/musicboyy for the trade. truss rod adjustment, action adjustment, and new strings = sick guitar. not a fan of the bridge pickup, though, probably will replace it within a couple months (that is, whenever i can afford it).

haha good eye.

at the moment, it's not really playable, needs some work (fret work, probably a re-fret....also needs one of the bridge posts redrilled). it's still in *basically* the same shape it was when i got it, but i had the action relatively high for a while, and since then i've come to like somewhat lower action. it was pretty sweet when i was playing it with the higher action, and hopefully it'll be sweet when it's fixed up and totally playable. it's basically everything i wanted in a "strat" with very little of what i dislike about fender strats, and when i got it, i had pretty intense GAS for a strat, so i was willing to pay a good bit for it.

Glad you're enjoying the Blackjack!! It's a great guitar...I just couldn't warm up to it for some reason.

Ya, I'm the new owner of his Grey Pewter RG7620. I sold my black one not too long ago and began to regret it...so this fills the void. Plays and sounds fantastic!! Thanks Ari!

oh yeah, so you remember that guy who was talking to us pretty much the whole time? i listened to the Jason Becker track Opus Pocus, and i've decided that the guy must have heard the Hoey track and been confused by the title, because there's no similarity i'm hearing to Hocus Pocus by Focus

Welcome to the Schecter family

Is your family originally from Finland BTW? I was wondering since you have a Finnish name.

But congrats, that's a wicked axe
